What I Do Now (to pay the bills):

I am currently the "Senior Design Engineer" at New England Theatre Service, Inc. in Hamden, Connecticut. My duties include design of new equipment for the theatre industry, maintenance of the office network, design and maintenance of the corporate web page, design and specification of theatre installations as well as field service from time to time. I am a member of SMPTE, IEEE and thoroughly enjoy this line of work.

Current Project(s) at Work:

II could tell ya what I am currently doing but then I would have to kill ya ;)

Recently completed installation of Loews Liberty Tree Mall 20-plex in Danvers, Mass. (Jan '99)

Recently I was involved in the completion of a Special Venue project concerning the Mashuntucket Pequot Museum in Ledyard Connecticut. NETS is providing 2 70 mm projection set-ups and a 35mm setup for the auditorium as well as a custom automation systems which control the 70mm venues. UPDATE---- The Museum has been open since August 11th and is quite spectacular if ever nearby it is definately worth the trip and the admission ($10/adults, $8 for children). (AUG '98)

What I do at the Home Workbench (to actually have fun):

Finally finished the roof! What a project. Working on the home theatre and the home automation system. I think I might put up a new section of the site dedicated to that.

The Past....

I was born in Bridgeport, CT and raised in Huntington/Shelton, CT. I attended St. Josephs parochial school and then Shelton High School. I attended my first five semesters of college at the Torrington Branch of Uconn and two additional semesters at Uconn, Storrs (Main Campus). I intend to complete my degree of Computer Science Engineering and Mechanical Engineering at some point in time in the near future. I was introduced to the theatre industry through my wife (fiance at the time) while attending UCONN Torrington. My wife who was an assistant manager soon to be house manager needed a projectionist and I was available for nights and weekends. I became the head projectionist and maintenance person and learned more about the theatre industry than most would like to know. Being mechanically inclined, I learned about theatre projection equipment and maintenance, repair , replacement therof in a very hands on enviroment. My ability to keep the theatre projection booth running led me to my job at New England Theatre service back in 1995 where I have been since (minus a couple of attempts to finish school off).

CREDITS...

To Mom + Dad for teaching me that anything is possible and encouraging me to pursue what I like.

To My Wife for proving to me that there is more to life than a computer ;)
