from the 'herding cats' department:

The Stockbridge School reunion committee has a firm date for the 2001 'all Stockbridge School' reunion. October 20 & 21 2001

The main event, a dinner will take place on the campus of the DeSisto School (formally the Stockbridge School) and there will be other gathering places within the region that weekend.

Thank you to all who have helped the reunion committee with information gatheringÉ

Many seem reticent to share names & address of other attendees and alumni however, so in reality we have made abysmal progress since the last reunion. This lack of progress has been compounded by business needs and new home issues for some of our group. Those who can do the computer work have not the time and those who may have time É well you get the idea.

Therefore we will officially ask that any who see this take personal responsibility to see that others see it too. (even if you think we have their information) If your friends don't have a computer print it out and give it to them.

We will ask all involved (if they have not already done so) to stop by the Stockbridge School site & leave a note in the guest book area with full contact information. (We are using mostly Internet contact and will do a limited mailing is expensive and in many cases results in returned mail)

The rough plan is to have a meeting place at a local pub Friday night for early arrivers.

Then on Saturday, at 10:30 or 11:00 am meet at the campus or another local site for informal visit & possibly music (bring instruments)

By mid afternoon we will convene at the big house for supper, only paid attendees will be permitted to enter.

Current menu: Soup chilled pumpkin bisque

Salad Caesar salad with garlic croutons

Sorbet Cranberry Sorbet

Entrees 1Ú2 Cornish Hen with roasted vegetables and turnip mash

Or

Grilled Salmon (herbed rubbed) and Basmati Rice with baby carrots

<< we are looking into Vegetarian and possibly a BEEF dish.>>

Later that evening there will be an ÔAfterglowÕ at the new home of Barbara Cohen-Hobbs across the lakeÉ this will be an informal affair with 'BYOB' fare.

Sunday 10:00 AM

We are invited back to the campus for brunch consisting of custom Omelets; Lox platter with capers, onion, egg yolks & fresh tomato; Fresh fruit bowl; morning sweet breads; fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee and/or tea.

The cost for the formal reunion is $95.00 per attendee. (Children $20.00)
